I’m watching…Anything with Justice Smith. Just saw Alonzo King’s LINES , a modern ballet company, at Jacob’s Pillow. They were brilliant, fresh, exciting and fabulous!

I’m listening to…Samara Joy’s self titled album (on loop), Talking Heads, Kathleen Battle’s Music in the Air, Danny Krivit’s and Joe Clausell’s new mixes. And of course, Beyonce’s studio album, Renaissance — but, then again, who isn’t listening to it?

I’m listening to…I’ve been getting into a lot of Joe Hisaishi’s work. His score for Howl’s Moving Castle is especially good

I’m reading…Just finished reading Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, just in time for the blockbuster hit. As usual, the book was a thousand times better than the movie (no offense to Reese Witherspoon, she’s a goddess). On to another cult favorite (from Reese’s book club), Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. The show adaptation is very gripping.

I’m watching…Only Murders In the Building with Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez. It’s a delight.

I’m listening to…Sounds of summer, with Harry Styles and Gloria Estefan on heavy rotation.

I’m watching…As one strategy to escape the summer heat, I’ve been going to the movies more frequently. I recently saw the new Top Gun movie and The Worst Person in the world, both of which had me laughing, crying, and on the edge of my seat. Following COVID, I forgot how much I missed stale, buttery popcorn and reflecting on the film with a friend after leaving the theater.
