In collaboration with the Board of Trustees’ Strategic Planning Committee, Public Works designed and facilitated a strategic planning process that engaged and gathered input from library staff, library patrons, the library’s foundation, the broader New Rochelle community, and members of the Board regarding their vision for the library.
In collaboration with the Board of Trustees’ Strategic Planning Committee, Public Works designed and facilitated a strategic planning process that engaged and gathered input from library staff, library patrons, the library’s foundation, the broader New Rochelle community, and members of the Board regarding their vision for the library.
Through a public working session, a focus group with NRPL Staff, two public town hall meetings, a committee working session, a public survey, and a range of hybrid activities to follow COVID-19 safety precautions, we facilitated a high-touch engagement process that engaged the library’s core audience and reached community members who have historically been underrepresented in accessing the library’s services.
The Plan positions the NRPL as an anchor institution – a community hub where all may gather – and proposes key goals and objectives that build on the Library’s good work to date and how they hope to grow over the next five years to meet their community’s needs.
