Our Strategy
We provided AvalonBay with strategic advising to advance the roll-out of the hiring strategy.
We leveraged our knowledge of workforce providers, identified best practices for engaging community-based organizations, and used feedback to develop a comprehensive set of workforce investment strategies tied to different phases of the project. We supported AvalonBay in identifying best practices for engaging community-based organizations to build out a strategy that meets the needs of the local community, satisfies the requirements of the City’s local hiring mandates, and made sense for the developer’s bottom line.

Impact
and Outcome
We developed a comprehensive set of workforce investment strategies tied to different phases of the project, as well as a community engagement approach.
Thanks to our work, AvalonBay was able to move forward into community meetings with a thoughtful strategy in mind allowing them to build positive, collaborative relationships with local stakeholders from the outset of the project.
