With a knack for stakeholder engagement and a deep understanding of place-based planning, Jordan’s expertise has been instrumental in shaping initiatives like the strategic vision for the New Rochelle Public Library and leading community engagement efforts for the Harlem River Greenway project. Her background in youth advocacy, climate resilience, and participatory planning across leading nonprofits adds a dynamic blend of passion and experience to our efforts. On April 20th, 2024, we joined The POINT Community Development Corporation at their annual Town Hall, where our team facilitated a workshop on “The Bronx is Breathing: Reimagining a Cleaner Hunts Point.” Over 40 community members, including energy experts, local organizers, and students, participated in a spirited conversation about how to invest in Hunts Point. The community was energized by the potential workforce opportunities at the new charging hub, such as CDL and EV maintenance training. We’re thrilled about the valuable feedback that will guide a community needs assessment and set the stage for a Community Benefits Agreement for the Bronx is Breathing project that truly reflects local aspirations.

Our dynamic Project Coordinators, Andrew Nicolais and Aman Patel, are set to graduate from their master’s program at New York University this spring! Over the past year, their contributions have propelled our client engagements, enhanced our thought leadership, and enriched our firm’s culture. Our Marketing team recently caught up with Andrew and Aman to reflect on their impactful journey with Public Works. Click here to read their insights and reflections. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two rising stars. In this industry, it’s never goodbye—just “see you later!”
