In collaboration with the Board of Trustees’ Strategic Planning Committee, Public Works designed and facilitated a strategic planning process that gathered input from library staff, library patrons, the library’s foundation, the broader New Rochelle community, and members of the Board regarding their vision for the library.
We utilized hybrid events for the public town hall meetings to follow safety precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to ensure all felt comfortable participating in the events. Our team analyzed the input gathered from our engagement efforts, in addition to library usage data and a building audit, to develop the Library’s new strategic plan.
The Plan proposes key goals and objectives that not only build upon the Library’s commendable work thus far, but also outline its vision for growth over the next five years, with a focus on meeting the evolving needs of the community. The principal goal areas encompass facilities, services and programming, as well as partnerships.
