As Senior Manager, Mario works closely with nonprofits and public sector agencies to ensure they are maximizing their impact for the communities they serve. In previous roles, Mario has led initiatives to embed financial empowerment into several program service models including services for people with disabilities, workforce development, and immigration services. Mario has also led the initiation, design, and execution of a peer-driven professional development program for leadership in a legal services nonprofit.

Prior to joining Public Works, Mario served at the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), leading one of the largest financial empowerment programs in New York City. He also led organization-wide special initiatives, which included professional and leadership development initiatives, and oversaw government relations.

Mario is a CUNY graduate with an MA from City College and a B.B.A. from Baruch College. He is an alum of several leadership programs with the Community Resource Center, the Robin Hood Foundation, and the American Express Leadership Academy.
