About Ilan

As an analyst on the client services team, Ilan supports cross-disciplinary teams that work to make cities work better. A perceptive listener and imaginative thinker, he thrives when breaking down complicated problems into their component parts, and he enjoys building and communicating creative and intuitive solutions for our clients. Ilan joined the firm in 2022 and has worked with clients such as: Goodwill NY/NJ, NYCEDC, the Osborne Association, Breaking Ground, the MTA, and the Mayor’s Offices of Operations, Financial Empowerment, and Contract Services. His project experience touches subjects such as: KPI and data infrastructure development, offshore wind supply chain analysis, nonprofit business planning and organizational design, street cleanliness data collection methods, public transportation outreach, and tax prep resource creation.

Prior to joining Public Works Partners, Ilan worked as program staff for a direct service nonprofit supporting adults with physical and developmental disabilities in accessing local supports and resources; managing self-directed funding and budgets; identifying, hiring, onboarding, and training support staff; and facilitating long-term planning sessions to increase access and independence. Ilan was also a live-in support on a life-sharing farmstead community in Wisconsin and held an internship with a refugee resettlement nonprofit in Philadelphia.

Ilan holds a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College, majoring in politics and minoring in computer science. Upon graduating, he received the Comfort Starr prize for excellence in civics, economics, and political history.
