About Daniel

As a Senior Manager with the client services team, Dan works hand in hand with clients to develop and shape project engagements that deliver meaningful results for their communities and constituencies. He brings a mission-driven and values-oriented approach reflecting his own training as well as the broader ethos of Public Works Partners. During his time with Public Works, Dan has led the development and implementation of the PACT Resource Team, an administrative fund connecting NYCHA housing residents with technical assistance providers. He has designed and executed interactive open houses, planning workshops, land use hearings, and Town Halls in support of various public planning projects. Dan joined Public Works Partners in 2019 as a Manager and was promoted to Senior Manager in 2022.

Prior to joining Public Works Partners, Dan developed economic development and commercial revitalization strategies with Larisa Ortiz Associates, providing consulting services to commercial district managers and public agencies. He also worked on community-based campaigns to promote local NYC manufacturing and pathways to legalization for basement apartments with the Pratt Center for Community Development. Prior to his transition into the field of urban planning, Dan worked as an operations manager in the hospitality industry, guiding day-to-day operations and long-term planning for multiple neighborhood-centric food and beverage concepts. This experience across different industries and sectors has allowed Dan to incorporate a holistic and adaptable approach to his work and appreciate the various tools a planner should have in their planning toolkit.

Dan holds an MS of City and Regional Planning from the Pratt Institute, a certificate of Sustainable Urban Planning from George Washington University, and a B.A. in English from the University of Florida. He is a member of the APA New York Metro Chapter Economic Development Committee, an active attendee of his local Brooklyn Community Board 8 Land Use Committee, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
