Susana works with the Business Development team to create tailored client-driven proposals that help plant the seeds for long-term relationships. A strategic thinker with sharp communication skills, she combines crisp messaging with storytelling to articulate the value of the firm’s evidence-based methodology in improving the delivery of public services. Susana joined Public Works in 2023 and is focused on supporting the company’s growth, cultivating new clients, and working on impactful projects.
Prior to joining Public Works, Susana helped manage growth initiatives across numerous industries, both private and public. As an Operations Manager, she led the expansion of Embily, a global fintech company, where she created and executed against an implementation timeline in addition to sourcing all private partnerships necessary to launch a payment product. At the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, she conducted outreach and spearheaded partnerships that built community power and capacity among immigrant communities in Manhattan. Susana also served as Secretariat during the Concordia Global Mayors Summit on Migration and Refugees at the United Nations, where she provided technical assistance and run-of-show program development. An agile networker, she uses her background in stakeholder engagement and partnership development to build, maintain, and evolve relationships.
Susana holds an undergraduate degree from CUNY Hunter College, where she earned Departmental Honors in English and Political Science. She is a graduate of the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) and a proud NYC Civic Corps alumna.
