About Jake

Jake supports client services at Public Works by leveraging his versatile research expertise, written communication skills, and relentless curiosity. He has worked on a wide range of client projects since joining the team in 2021. For the Mayor’s Office of Food Policy, he provided research and engagement support to inform strategies for the City to procure more food from New York State and M/WBE vendors. This undertaking incorporated engagement with major food purchasing agencies across New York City, process analysis, and the development of final report with recommendations on lowering barriers for M/WBE vendors.

As a student, Jake studied how the history of the city’s infrastructure altered its communities and on the role of community engagement in the building process. Jake’s previous experiences utilizing ethnography, archival research, data science, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) contribute to the rounded analyses that Public Works provides clients.

Jake holds a BA in Metropolitan Studies and Economics from New York University and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Hunter College.
