We successfully bring co-design to comprehensive planning that is both imaginative and focused on implementation. Our Process with Purpose demonstrates an understanding of the interrelationship between land use, policy, transportation, economic development, public realm improvements, and the local ecosystems that bind communities of all sizes and diversities.

We know that planning is a means for moving toward purposeful action. We lead a collaborative process to demystify comprehensive planning with a co-design method called Process with Purpose.

We focus on involving local stakeholders to creatively resolve the complex issues they face. Our job is not to reinvent the wheel or tell residents what they already know but to acknowledge all planning and engagement efforts previously completed in a community. We recognize the community is the expert and knows where there are strengths and opportunities. We draw on our subject matter expertise and years of planning experience to surface innovative and effective recommendations for implementation.

We ensure a community vision, intervention or policy is meaningfully informed by those segments of a community that can sometimes be excluded from planning decisions. This is done through strategic identification of stakeholder groups and being intentional about creating a participatory and accessible process, an especially critical endeavor for communities that have experienced significant demographic shifts and trends.

We are dedicated to creating community visions that are informed by current residents and their priorities. We co-design a road map for future land use planning by creating a shared understanding of the existing conditions of a community based on reliable and unbiased data so that later recommendations are grounded and achievable.
