As a Manager on the Client Services team, Alex acts as a project manager across several organizational health projects. Drawing on years of experience in the nonprofit and public sector, he brings to Public Works a deep sensitivity to his clients’ needs and the realities they face in their day-to-day work. Alex advised the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) – a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of Latino leaders – on building and implementing a program evaluation plan. Through the evaluation plan, CHCI can effectively measure the outcomes and success of their leadership development programs.
Prior to joining Public Works Partners, Alex served as a lead analyst on the CDBG-DR Task Force at the New York City Office of Management and Budget (NYC OMB) where he managed a $3 billion federal grant funding vital disaster response and climate resiliency programs across the five boroughs. Before his time at OMB, Alex lead in the development of a public policy agenda and strategy for RIP Medical Debt, a nonprofit eliminating personal medical debt by purchasing large bundles of debt using private donations. Alex also held a number of nonprofit consulting roles, first at Freedman Consulting LLC., where he supported major foundations in developing and implementing innovative strategies and programs, and, more recently, at BDO FMA where he provided fiscal and operational advisory services to nonprofits and CBOs across the New York City metropolitan area.
