As a Project Coordinator at Public Works, Sydney applies her passion for using design as a catalyst for social change to support client projects and business development efforts. Sydney regularly develops graphic materials to communicate key takeaways for public presentations and talks delivered by Public Works leadership. She has also worked with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Food Policy to provide report design services to effectively communicate recommendations for improving City-led procurement processes to support small and minority-owned food businesses in New York City, the culmination of a year-long evaluation effort. Sydney leveraged her graphic design and visualization skillsets to develop a visually compelling report that will be shared with key stakeholders across the city.
Prior to joining Public Works, Sydney worked as UX and Brand Strategy Intern at Balta Rugs leading the development of their new website and visual identity. She has also worked with the Kendeda Living Building for Sustainable Design as part of a campus initiative to increase the visibility of equity and sustainability efforts within the greater Atlanta community. She has presented design research regarding the policy and practice of sustainable design at research symposia.
Sydney is a Gold Scholar graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Industrial Design.
