As an Analyst on the Business Development team, Ava showcases Public Works’ impact in creative and dynamic ways through writing and storytelling. She supports the success of the firm’s social media campaigns by developing content that expands our audience base and builds connections with users. Through written and graphic content development, she synthesizes the core values of Public Works and communicates the firm’s consulting and urban planning solutions for a range of audiences, such as the Connecticut Main Street Center and Cornell University’s Department of City and Regional Planning.
Prior to joining the team, Ava was a Communications & Digital Engagement intern for a gubernatorial political campaign. She’s also interned as a Policy Analyst for the National Center for Healthy Housing, where she conducted a landscape analysis of building codes in the wildland-urban interface and their potential impact on the health of local communities. In 2020, she interned as an Advocacy Research Analyst for Nonviolence International, and spent time at the United Nations, where she collected data and produced a Civil Society report.
Ava holds a B.A. from the University of South Florida – St. Petersburg in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with concentrations in Political Science and International Studies. As a student, she participated in a Comparative Legal Research Project with students in Moldova regarding civil liberties and presented her research at the 2022 Florida Political Science Association Annual Conference and at the USF 2022 Undergraduate Research Symposium.
